The Federation of Finnish Enterprises has the largest membership among economic federations in Finland. The membership structure mirrors the structure of Finnish business well and when looking at the portion of businesses that hold membership, it is quite representative of the entire enterprise sector.
Entrepreneurs have a vital role in keeping the wheels of Finnish society and economy rolling. We have an active role in ensuring that our political decision makers act toward improving the operating environment of small and medium-sized enterprises. We also provide information to the public to help infl uence opinions and raise public awareness on entrepreneurship in Finland.
The Federation of Finnish Enterprises aims to advance entrepreneurship in the European Union and other international bodies mainly by influencing the actions of the Finnish government in the European Union. Additionally the federation aims to influence the bodies of European organizations (UEAPME) and the EU, mainly the Commission and Parliament.
The Federation of Finnish Enterprises is a member in the European small and medium-sized enterprise organization UEAPME, which aims to follow and infl uence EU legislation. UEAPME comprises enterprise organizations from all European Union member countries. Central issues in the operation of UEAPME are infl uencing the European Parliament and Commission.
Additionally UEAPME is one of the parties in the social dialogue preparations on the EU level and it participates actively in the preparation of standards. The Federation of Finnish Enterprises enjoys good working relations with other Nordic enterprise federations. These federations organize a meeting annually, where operations in different Nordic countries are systematically monitored.
